SUPPORT FOR JOINT CANDIDATES AND THE STABILITY OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ - The leader of the Socialist Party, Petar Đokić, said today in Banja Luka that this party, in accordance with the signed agreement with the SNSD and other parties of the ruling coalition, will give full support to the joint candidates in the upcoming general elections.

"We want to demonstrate to the citizens our political seriousness regarding the future of Srpska, and for them to realize that any party alternatives do not provide a serious tone-meaning they cannot seriously perform republic duties," Đokić said at a press conference following a meeting of the leaders of the ruling coalition in Srpska.

Đokić pointed out that the parties of the ruling coalition have made a great contribution to the development of Srpska through their results so far, and that a thoughtful and responsible policy without adventurism is necessary in this regard.

He added that the aforementioned coalition is a guarantee that there will be no adventurism in republic politics, because "the joint candidates for the most important positions will perform their duties in the best interest of Srpska and its citizens."

"I personally have great confidence in these people, and the SP, as a responsible political partner, will contribute to a convincing victory for the ruling coalition, which always works in the interest of Srpska," said Đokić.

The leader of DEMOS, Nedeljko Čubrilović, said that this party, in accordance with the signed agreement, will support the SNSD's candidates.

"That is unquestionable, and this coalition will provide additional stability to Srpska and its future. The goal is to win a sufficient number of mandates that will contribute to the stability of Srpska," Čubrilović emphasized.
