SUMMER TOURIST SEASON OFFICIALLY OPENED

JAHORINA, JUNE 18 /SRNA/ – The summer tourist season has officially opened on Jahorina today, offering a variety of activities and benefits over the next three months.

Director of the Olympic Center “Jahorina” Igor Žiljak said that a 50 percent discount has been prepared for citizens of all former Yugoslav countries for this summer season, along with a family ticket priced at BAM 75.

“The family ticket is BAM 75, and one family member with a child will be able to use all facilities and receive a free lunch included in the ticket price at our 'Olimp Bar',” Žiljak said at a press conference.

He expressed hope that the summer season, which is expected to last more than 90 days, will be as successful as the previous winter season on Jahorina.

Director of the Tourist Organization of Istočno Sarajevo Stefan Stajčić said that Jahorina is the most important resource that must be continuously invested in, as it attracts the largest number of tourists.

He stressed that the city's Tourist Organization, the Olympic Center, the Hotel Association, as well as the municipalities of Pale and Trnovo, should continue working together to promote Jahorina.

Stajčić added that the Tourist Organization has launched a public procurement process for the construction of a via ferrata on Jahorina in the Trnovo municipality, expressing hope that it will be completed by the end of the summer season, giving the Olympic mountain another tourist attraction.
