BANJA LUKA, JULY 26 /SRNA/ – Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, Denis Šulić, told SRNA that representatives of the ministry will travel to Kazan at the end of August to interest Russian tourist agencies in organising tours to Republika Srpska.

Šulić says that meetings with major tour operators are being prepared in Kazan for late August, with the aim of presenting Republika Srpska.

According to him, Tatarstan authorities are pleased with the fact that Republika Srpska offers subsidies to agencies bringing in foreign tourists - an initiative that stems from agreements with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Finance Minister Zora Vidović.

He states that during the Kazan visit, a series of meetings will be organised with all parties involved in spa - rehabilitation centre projects.

"We would like to connect our spas with theirs to exchange experiences, improve our tourism product, and offer suggestions to our friends in Tatarstan on how they can advance their own spa centres, which are already recognised as leaders in medical services in that part of Europe," Šulić explained.

He emphasizes that investment opportunities in spa centres and the trade sector will also be prepared to attract investors from Tatarstan to come and invest in Srpska.

"A presentation will be held in Kazan showcasing selected products from Srpska that they are interested in. Our economy has the capacity to meet expectations and respond to the demands of the Tatarstan market," Šulić noted.

He acknowledged current difficulties regarding logistics routes but expressed confidence that these will be resolved in the near future, as some products from Srpska are already present on the market in the Russian Federation.

"Srpska’s economy will now have more access to the Russian market, and our products will be recognised as coming from a friendly country," Šulić emphasized.

He has stressed that Republika Srpska has strong foundations for cooperation with Russia thanks to the relationship that President Dodik has with President Vladimir Putin, and due to the strong connections established during the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Srpska, which led to discussions about potential future projects.
