STOKING TENSIONS IS NEITHER ACCIDENTAL NOR GOOD

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović said that the stoking of tensions in BiH was neither accidental nor good.

Mastilović said that, so many years after the war, repeating wartime narratives and seeking to achieve wartime goals did not contribute to establishing normal coexistence.

"If you teach children to hate their next-door neighbour, it will inevitably escalate into conflict. The rhetoric coming from political Sarajevo can bring nothing good to BiH, and this is not the path on which this country should be built. It can survive only through cooperation between the two entities and the three constituent peoples," Mastilović stressed.

Srđan Dušanić, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka, believes that the ghosts of the past are being revived once again, and said he was sorry that we are still far from understanding how important cooperation is for our development.
