BANJA LUKA, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has said today that the statement signed by Bosniak representatives condemning "hate speech, Islamophobia and false narratives about Bosniaks and BiH" is full of falsehoods and qualifications taken from the Islamic Declaration, and is concerning for the Serb people.
Dodik said the statement, signed yesterday by Bosniak representatives, is unconstitutional and suggests that the Dayton Agreement cannot be preserved.
"Bosniaks who invoke the Dayton Agreement have never accepted it. They have done everything through manipulation and undermining to secure a platform based on Alija Izetbegović's Islamic Declaration. This is clearly visible in this statement, which is full of qualifications copied from the Islamic Declaration," Dodik said.
He stressed that Serb representatives must not overlook this.
Dodik noted that the document does not come as a surprise and that its main initiator is former reis Mustafa Cerić, adding that the statement attempts to impose a false narrative of peace.
"The statement is also part of their timid character. It is false that Islamophobia exists, because something presented as truth cannot be Islamophobia," Dodik said.
He emphasized that he rejects claims from the statement that aggression was committed against BiH, as that would imply that Serbs attacked their own homes.
"That is a continuous deception and implies a false narrative," Dodik said.
He also assessed that the current statement resembles statements once written to Hitler, noting that at the time people claimed to be Goths in order to align themselves with him.
"Everything is lie upon lie," Dodik concluded.
