TREBINJE, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut said that the “Saint Archdeacon Stephen – January 9” Hospital in Trebinje is the most modern facility, built according to high European standards at the initiative of then President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, with the support of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
Macut emphasized the importance of investing in healthcare, infrastructure, and the overall quality of life for citizens.
He emphasized that healthcare knows no borders, only quality, and that he is aware that Republika Srpska also has clinics and departments that provide a very high standard of diagnostics and treatment for local patients, as well as for people coming from Serbia.
“I visited the clinical departments and spoke with both staff and patients. I believe that the level of service and healthcare that this hospital can provide is truly very good,” said Macut, who toured the hospital together with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Alen Šeranić.
He emphasized that cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska in the field of healthcare and the specialization of medical staff is good and will continue in the future.
“I think we have opened some very important topics, such as how to improve the delivery of healthcare services and how to bring in highly specialized staff who could further improve the hospital’s work,” Macut told reporters.
