PRIJEDOR, MAY 16 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said today that a state incentive program will be created to encourage people to return to Republika Srpska.
Dodik emphasized that the investment cycle beginning this year in Republika Srpska is worth BAM 6.6 billion, and that the priority is the 407,000 families living in Republika Srpska who deserve attention.
“We will create an entire state incentive program to encourage people to return to Republika Srpska and remain here through support for housing loans for certain categories,” Dodik said today in Prijedor.
He announced that salaries in the public sector will be increased by six to seven percent in September, which, together with the previous increase, will amount to around 11 percent cumulative growth. Pensions will also be increased again, and one-time assistance for pensioners will be provided.
“The average salary in Republika Srpska is BAM 1,600. It is not like in Europe, but we are catching up faster. Until a few years ago, a salary of BAM 1,000 was unimaginable,” Dodik stated.
