EAST SARAJEVO, August 14 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Senator Boško Tomić told SRNA that the issue of a referendum is a matter of freedom and the right of every citizen, and that Republika Srpska has the right to decide in a referendum on all matters, especially those concerning its future and the protection of key institutions.
"This is particularly important when it comes to President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the unlawful stripping of his rights. Well then, let us see what our people have to say," Tomić stated.
He noted that the people of Republika Srpska elected President Dodik in the general elections, but now someone else who came to power illegally is trying to prohibit him from exercising those rights.
"Let us now see whether the citizens will confirm that they once again give their support to a man who enjoys full legality and legitimacy in Republika Srpska, and that man is precisely President Dodik. I support the referendum in every case," said Tomić, who is also an advisor to the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.
He emphasized that the citizens will voice their opinion and stressed that they should and must be consulted on all key institutional and national issues in Srpska.
Tomić concluded that no imposed foreigner, nor any self-proclaimed individual or person falsely presenting themselves, has the right to establish anywhere, and especially not in Republika Srpska, a system that suits them, their country, or someone else, but not the Serb people who live here.
