BUDAPEST, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today in Budapest that Republika Srpska is a party to the Dayton Agreement, that it had naively defended it for years, but that this was not in the interest of many.
Dodik said that former U.S. administrations and some in Brussels had always sought to support the Muslim side in BiH.
“The Brussels administration and the Biden administration have destroyed the Dayton Agreement, and it is hypocritical rhetoric now to advocate for that agreement, because unauthorized administrators have adopted more than 280 laws in an attempt to build BiH tailored to the offices in Brussels and some in America, without respecting the reality that Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH are parties to the agreement,” Dodik said at a press conference after a meeting with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto.
He added that the leadership of Republika Srpska is accused of being secessionist, which cannot be the case since Srpska, as a contracting party, brought itself into BiH.
“BiH was never our wish, but an obligation. We tried to build good relations believing in the correctness of what was coming from the West,” Dodik said.
He emphasized that there is an attempt worldwide to use courts to politically secure the death of democratically elected leaders.
“A strong structure in Europe is ready to go all the way in confronting democratic structures, including your country. But we are grateful for your firm stance, because I believe that any concession can only lead us to an even greater defeat,” Dodik stressed.
The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the highest officials of Hungary are scheduled in the afternoon to attend the manifestation ‘Serbian Days – Month of Serbian Culture’ at the Ethnographic Museum in Budapest, under the patronage of the President of Srpska.
The manifestation promotes the preservation of national identity, the promotion of Serbian culture, and the strengthening of ties between Serbs in Hungary, the motherlands /Serbia and Republika Srpska/, and Hungary.
