PALE, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA/ - The impressive new premises of the Media System of Republika Srpska – SRNA were officially opened in Pale today, following a strategic decision by the Republika Srpska Government to permanently return the national news agency to its original headquarters and place of establishment, at the initiative of President Milorad Dodik.
Acting SRNA Director General Tatjana Parađina said at the opening ceremony of the new and modern premises that this major investment by the Republika Srpska Government, headed by Prime Minister Savo Minić, represented more than a construction project, as it was a sign of unwavering support for SRNA and all its employees.
“Today, we are not simply opening the doors of a new building - today, we are opening a new chapter in our work,” Parađina said.
She said the building was a symbol of the Republika Srpska Government’s commitment to creating a modern, efficient, and technologically well-equipped SRNA.
“Our sincerest gratitude goes to the Republika Srpska leadership and Government, above all Prime Minister Minić and President Dodik, at whose initiative we have this functional and modern facility in Pale today, as well as to the wholehearted efforts of MPs Aco Stanišić and Damjan Škipina, who used every meeting with Republika Srpska officials to help turn this initiative into reality.
“We owe them a great debt of gratitude for persevering so that today, October 1, 2026, SRNA could return home, to the place where it was established, where it was built by our colleagues, many of whom, sadly, are no longer with us. But I believe that somewhere above, they are now rejoicing that our shared dream has come true,” Parađina stressed.
She said today also brings an additional responsibility for all of us to work even better as a team and repay that trust with results, because we are, after all, the backbone of Republika Srpska’s media system.
“I believe in you, and I know that, now that we finally have what I can freely call excellent working conditions, we will be even better, faster and more efficient, because our slogan, ‘They Trust Us’, is not just a slogan — people really do trust us, as confirmed by our many users. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their cooperation and look forward to continuing it to our mutual satisfaction,” Parađina said.
The opening ceremony of SRNA’s new premises in Pale was attended by Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović, and Boško Tomić, the envoy, and Marko Milisav, the adviser to the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.
Also attending are Miroslav Vujičić, a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Radovan Kovačević, a member of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, MPs Aco Stanišić and Damjan Škipina, as well as representatives of the Russian Embassy in BiH, who stressed that SRNA is a reliable and sincere partner.
The ceremony is also being attended by BiH Archives Director Danijela Mrda, University of Istočno Sarajevo Rector Milan Kulić, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy Vladan Bartula, Republika Srpska Cinematheque Director Bojan Čvoro, SRNA Supervisory Board Chairman Danijel Dragičević, Istočno Sarajevo Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić and mayors of municipalities that make up the city, as well as a delegation from the Jahorina Olympic Centre.
