BIJELJINA, AUGUST 10 /SRNA/ - The mixed choir "Srbadija" from Bijeljina has won a gold medal in the folklore and traditional music category at the Choir Olympics in Sweden.
The Bijeljina choir performed a program based on Serbian traditional music, through which it showcased the richness of the domestic musical and cultural heritage to the international jury and audience, "Srbadija" announced.
Taking part in the Choir Olympics in Sweden marked "Srbadija's" 15th participation in international competitions organized by Interkultur, one of the world's leading organizations dedicated to choral music and the organizer of the Choir Olympics /World Choir Games/.
"Srbadija" emphasizes that this new gold medal represents a continuation of the mixed choir's long-standing streak of international recognitions and serves as yet another confirmation of the successful work of the ensemble, its conductors Desanka Trakilović and Jelena Trakilović, as well as the dedication of the choir members.
