BANJALUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - SNSD Main Board member Denis Šulić stated that today’s session reaffirmed the unity of the party and confirmed that SNSD remains the strongest political force in Republika Srpska, committed to the vision of a free and strong Srpska that neither depends on nor fears foreign actors or their threats.
Šulić emphasized that SNSD continues to uphold its two-decade-long policy of building and defending a strong Republika Srpska, a vision championed by President Milorad Dodik, whose leadership is considered one of his greatest political accomplishments.
He added that Dodik’s other key success lies in shaping a new generation of young political leaders through SNSD - leaders ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with him in defending a progressive and sovereign Srpska where decisions are made by its citizens, not imposed by foreign powers.
"We will not back down, neither Milorad Dodik nor SNSD. The difference is clear: they are imposed, we are elected. As long as the people choose us to represent them, we will continue to fight with even greater determination. And they will continue to choose us, our victories are still ahead. The next election will show that SNSD is stronger than ever," Šulić said.
The SNSD Main Board unanimously rejected the verdict against President Dodik, declaring that in the face of political silencing attempts, the party will stand even more firmly behind its leader.
One of the adopted conclusions calls on all parliamentary parties and societal actors in Republika Srpska to form a government of national unity, to jointly act at the BiH level, and to reject decision-making in joint institutions until Republika Srpska’s constitutional position is fully restored.
SNSD stressed the urgency of reaching a broad political consensus in Srpska, despite legitimate political difference, to unanimously reject any notion that anyone other than the citizens of Republika Srpska, through free and democratic elections, can decide who holds positions such as President of Srpska, BiH Presidency member from Srpska, MPs, or representatives in joint BiH institutions.
