ŠKIPINA: THOSE WHO THINK THEY CAN COME TO POWER THROUGH SARAJEVO, SCHMIDT AND EMBASSIES ARE GRAVELY MISTAKEN

PALE, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - The decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH to call early elections in Republika Srpska is nothing more than a political attack on the will of the people and the institutions of Srpska, at the behest of part of the international community and Christian Schmidt, member of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Damjan Škipina told SRNA.

"The CEC, which is under the complete control of Sarajevo, foreign embassies, and the opposition from Republika Srpska, has now openly shown that it is executing the plans of those who want to weaken President Milorad Dodik and bring chaos to Republika Srpska.

There is not a single trace of democracy or democratic process here, but rather an attempt to forcibly impose the political will of Sarajevo and their lackeys from the opposition in Srpska. No sane person could ever believe that citizens would give their trust to those who act against their own Republic, raise their hands against elected representatives, and blindly follow foreign ambassadors," Škipina emphasized.

He added that Republika Srpska has withstood much greater pressures and will withstand this one as well.

"Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik enjoys the trust of the people, which will be confirmed in the upcoming referendum, and no electoral engineering or unlawful CEC decisions can change that. Those who think they can come to power in Srpska through Sarajevo and foreigners are gravely mistaken," Škipina said.
