ŠKIPINA: REFERENDUM BOTHERS ONLY SCHMIDT AND STANIVUKOVIĆ

PALE, AUGUST 22 /SRNA/ – The public in Republika Srpska has received the most dangerous acknowledgment – the referendum in Srpska bothers only two people, one foreigner and one Serb. The foreigner is Christian Schmidt, and the Serb, unfortunately, is Draško Stanivuković, said National Assembly deputy Damjan Škipina in a statement to SRNA.

“When everything is taken into account, we get an absurdity – PDP is placing itself on the same line with a man whom the people of Srpska do not recognize, and who is a symbol of the deep state and foreign tutelage,” Škipina emphasized.

He pointed out that yesterday’s statements of PDP’s leading figures revealed the true face of that party’s “politics” – Igor Crnadak rejoices in blockade-style performances, while Draško Stanivuković insults the President of Republika Srpska.

Škipina stressed that the politics of PDP in practice mean rejecting a Government of National Unity when Srpska needed it most, and rejecting the referendum, the most democratic instrument of the people’s will.

According to him, PDP’s politics also mean blocking institutions, blocking unity, and blocking the will of the people.

“So, one thing is clear – PDP is systematically taking away from the people both institutional and democratic tools. Everything else they offer is deception and servicing a blockade policy from Sarajevo and the ambassadors’ residences where they made promises that are obviously stronger than their belonging to Republika Srpska,” Škipina stressed.

He stated that the referendum is not a matter of Milorad Dodik or a party, but a matter of freedom and democracy.

“Whoever is against the referendum is against their people and their Republic. And we from SNSD, together with the people, will defend the right of Republika Srpska to always decide for itself,” Škipina concluded.
