ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, APRIL 9 /SRNA/ - The director of "Srbija" Hospital in Istočno Sarajevo, Nebojša Šešlija, stated that it is devastating that more than 30 years after the end of the war, Serb medical staff from Sarajevo are coming to Istočno Sarajevo because they cannot endure national pressure there, similar to what they experienced in 1992.

Šešlija said that "Srbija" Hospital has gone through a turbulent period over the past one to two years due to the departure of some doctors and other medical staff to newly opened large private hospitals in Sarajevo.

"They were offered high salaries, which led to a significant outflow of doctors and other medical personnel," Šešlija told reporters.

According to him, the current situation is such that these doctors and medical staff are not staying in private clinics.

"Some are seeking opportunities elsewhere, while a certain number have returned to `Srbija` Hospital," Šešlija concluded.
