BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ - The Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag will be marked today in Banja Luka, organised by the Governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia.

The central ceremony will be held at the Borik Sports Hall at 8:00 p.m., the Republika Srpska Ministry of Labor, War Veterans' and Disabled Persons' Protection said.

The Ministry called on citizens, representatives of cities and municipalities, institutions, and organisations to join in marking the holiday and display the flag of Republika Srpska and the Serbian national flag at their homes, institutions, and other appropriate places.

The marking of this holiday was established in 2020 to strengthen the unity of the Serbian people in Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as to promote the national flag.

The Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag is a public holiday observed on September 15 in Serbia and Republika Srpska, symbolically established on the anniversary of the breakthrough of the Salonika Front.
