SERB AND ISRAELI PEOPLES SHARE MUCH IN COMMON

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 20 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Savo Minić, stated during a meeting with Israeli writer Ido Netanyahu that the Serb and Israeli peoples share much in common, and that historical hardships and tragedies have made a special bond between them.

Minić expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the distinguished Israeli author to Republika Srpska, and emphasized the need for further development and strengthening of cultural ties between Republila Srpska and Israel, reads a statement from the Government's Public Relations Bureau.

A special focus of the conversation was the upcoming presentation of Ido Netanyahu’s novel “Itamar K”, which will take place this evening at the Banski Dvor Cultural Centre in Banja Luka.

Minić expressed his pleasure that readers from Republika Srpska will have the opportunity tonight to become familiar with the work of this esteemed writer during the book promotion.

Netanyahu thanked Minić for the hospitality and emphasized that the two peoples are also connected by a shared desire to preserve their identity, adding that this connection is not only historical, but also very present today.

The meeting was also attended by Željko Budimir, Minister of the Interior.
