SENIOR SRPSKA OFFICIALS HOLD TALKS WITH JEFFREY SACHS

BANJALUKA, SEPTEMBER 28 /SRNA/ - A meeting between senior Republika Srpska officials and one of the world’s best-known economists, Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs, has begun at the Republika Srpska Government headquarters in Banja Luka.

The meeting is being attended by Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and President Milorad Dodik.

Also attending are Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić, Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir, acting Director of the Office for International Cooperation Ana Trišić Babić and acting Rector of the University of Banja Luka Ranko Škrbić.

Statements are planned after the meeting.

Jeffrey Sachs is an American economist, university professor and one of the world's best-known experts on economic development, international finance and sustainable development.

He earned his doctorate at Harvard University, where he taught for more than two decades, before continuing his academic career at Columbia University in New York.
