BANJA LUKA, MARCH 22 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister of Justice Goran Selak has stressed that national representation in the Court of BiH has been seriously disrupted and called on relevant institutions to urgently act to restore balance in line with the Constitution and the principle of equality.
Selak stated that it is unacceptable that three of the four heads of departments in the BiH Court are from the Bosniak people and one from the Croat people, while Serb judges, he said, have been reduced to a minimum.
He particularly stressed that the position of president of the BiH Court should not be held by a Bosniak representative, given that the president of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH is also from the Bosniak people.
"Of additional concern is the fact that key administrative positions are held by the same structures, which raises questions about confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary", Selak stated on the social network X.
The Republika Srpska justice minister called on all relevant institutions to take concrete steps to ensure equal representation of the constituent peoples and preserve public trust in the judicial system of BiH.
