SELAK AND VUJIĆ DISCUSS STRENGTHENING JUDICIAL COOPERATION

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 24 /SRNA/ – Ministers of justice of Republika Srpska and Serbia, Goran Selak and Nenad Vujić, emphasized during today’s meeting on Mount Tara that cooperation between Srpska and Serbia in the field of the judiciary is of strategic importance.

"Our shared task is to strengthen institutions, exchange good practices, and through coordinated work contribute to legal certainty and stability in the interest of the people we serve," Selak stressed.

He underlined that Republika Srpska and Serbia are oriented toward one another, and that a unified and nationally responsible policy is a guarantee of further development and a shared future, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Justice announced.

The talks particularly highlighted the importance of stronger and more comprehensive cooperation between the ministries of justice of Republika Srpska and Serbia, primarily in the exchange of experience, improvement of the legislative framework, and strengthening of institutional capacities, with the aim of raising the level of legal certainty and protecting the interests of the Serb people on both sides of the Drina River.

A session of the Government of Serbia was held today on Mount Tara, after which a meeting began between the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, and the Prime Minister of Serbia, Đuro Macut, on improving cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure.
