ŠARIĆ: INTERNATIONAL HANDBALL TOURNAMENT BRINGS TOGETHER TEAMS FROM THREE CONTINENTS

DOBOJ, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ – The International Handball TV Tournament of Champions in Doboj has brought together teams from three continents, said Danijel Šarić, director of the sporting event.

Šarić told the press before the tournament’s opening ceremony that he was pleased that a large number of handball fans had gathered.

“Everything is ready for the start. We have brought major European and world teams from three continents. Doboj is a true host city,” Šarić said.

Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinić said that Doboj has been, is, and will remain a city of handball.

“I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this. Special thanks go to President Milorad Dodik for supporting us all these years,” Jerinić added.

He encouraged everyone to enjoy everything the city has to offer.

Six teams are taking part in the International Handball TV Tournament of Champions, which runs until Saturday, August 15: German team “Melsungen,” Slovenia’s “Grosist Slovan,” “Sporting” from Portugal, Egypt’s “Al Ahly,” the Qatar national team, and hosts “Sloga” from Doboj.

The Republika Srpska president is general sponsor of the tournament.
