SARAJEVO RESIDENT RELEASED AFTER BEING ARRESTED OVER OFFENSIVE INSCRIPTION ON SERB TRICOLOUR MURAL

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA/ – A Sarajevo resident identified as N.K. has been released after being interrogated on suspicion of writing the offensive inscription "genocidal" on a mural depicting the Serb tricolour in Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Vesna Stokanović, spokesperson for the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration, told SRNA.

Stokanović specified that N.K. was released last night after being interrogated.

N.K. was arrested yesterday. Once the case has been documented, a report on criminal offence committed will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

On Tuesday, October 20, the Istočno Novo Sarajevo Police Station received a report that an unidentified individual had damaged a mural depicting the flag of Republika Srpska on a residential building in Istočno Novo Sarajevo.
