TREBINJE, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ – Air temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in the shade in Trebinje today, marking the highest temperature measured in June since 2000, Predrag Palikuća of the Trebinje Meteorological Station said in a statement to SRNA.


Palikuća said the temperature was recorded at around 12:30 p.m., meaning it could exceed 40 degrees Celsius later in the day.

He said Trebinje recorded 29 summer days in June, with temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius, as well as 18 tropical days, when temperatures exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

"Seven days with precipitation were recorded in June, while the total rainfall amounted to 45.2 liters per square meter, which is below average," Palikuća stated.
