BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA/ - The Club of Serbian Businesspeople has been established within the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce, with the task of bringing together businesspeople from Serbia to jointly work on improving the business environment in Srpska.

The President of the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce Goran Račić announced that a decision on its establishment, along with the adoption of the work program of this investment club, will be made at a session of the Chamber’s Management Board next week.

After the first meeting of the Club of Serbian Businesspeople in Banja Luka, Račić told reporters that 16 businesspeople from Serbia attended, including representatives of M:tel, Dunav Insurance, Hemofarm, and the Postal Savings Bank.

Račić added that the Club of Serbian Businesspeople will aim to hold quarterly meetings.

Bojan Popović, Director General of Dunav Insurance in Banja Luka, believes that this Club will mark a major step forward and bring Serbia and Republika Srpska even closer together.

"Republika Srpska offers a favorable investment environment, with business operating costs, minimum wages, and electricity expenses that are not excessively high," Popović said.

He added that this company is one of Serbia's largest investments in Republika Srpska, employing around 300 people across Republika Srpska and BiH.

The initial meeting was attended by the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, Vojin Mitrović, the Serbian Consul General in Banja Luka, Miloš Vujić, and representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, who expressed their support for the formation of the Club.

The Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Serbian Embassy in BiH, has established the Club of Serbian Businesspeople, which will bring together companies founded by individuals and legal entities from Serbia.
