BELGRADE, APRIL 8 /SRNA/ – The Saint Sava Charter of the Serbian Cultural and Educational Society Prosvjeta in Belgrade for 2025 was ceremonially awarded to renowned Serbian cardiologist Milovan Bojić in the crypt of the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade.

The charter was presented to Bojić, who is also the director of the Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases, by Milimir Mučibabić, president of the Board of Directors of SPKD Prosvjeta in Belgrade, in the presence of a large number of cultural and public figures from Serbia and Republika Srpska, including BiH Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Vranješ and head of the Republika Srpska Representation in Serbia Mlađen Cicović.

In a statement to SRNA, Bojić said the recognition is both an incentive and inspiration for the future, if he is worthy of receiving it for his past work.

He said it is, above all, an honor that the charter is named after Saint Sava, the first Serbian archbishop and enlightener.

"That is why it is an obligation for a person to always strive to be the best possible, and to always be ready to make great sacrifices for every great achievement, following the example of the greatest Serb - Saint Sava," Bojić emphasized.

Mučibabić told SRNA that Bojić is an outstanding Serbian cardiologist, humanitarian, and benefactor, a man who has introduced so many innovations into Serbian healthcare that he represents the foundation for a new scientific discipline — healthcare management.

He noted that Bojić has extensive cooperation with Republika Srpska, which is why he was awarded the Prosvjeta Saint Sava Charter, presented to distinguished Serbs who view Serbian identity as an integral whole.

The Prosvjeta Charter was established to recognize and reward individuals whose work and creativity contribute significantly to the realization of Prosvjeta's goals.

Among previous recipients are Metropolitans Amfilohije and Joanikije, Arno Gujon, Matija Bećković, Emir Kusturica, Novak Đoković, Milorad Dodik, and Vladimir Kecmanović.
