BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 11 /SRNA/ - Vice President of the Assembly of the Veterans of Republika Srpska Association Vladimir Grujić and director of the Memorial Center of the Republika Srpska Denis Bojić signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today in Banja Luka, with the aim of preserving the truth and preventing the rewriting of the history of the Serb people.

Bojić expressed his satisfaction that by signing this memorandum, "Veterans" and the Memorial Center will jointly act as one of the bastions of the protection of Republika Srpska.

"Our mission is to record all available testimonies about the suffering of the Serbian people on the territory of the Republika Srpska, but also beyond," Bojić told reporters after signing the Memorandum.

He pointed out that for the Veterans, in accordance with their capabilities, experiences and logistical support, the goal is to contribute to the realization of the Memorial Center's mission.

Bojić mentioned that in the realization of that idea, all associations and organizations stemming from the Defense-Patriotic War play a very important role, and that the Veterans of Republika Srpska Association is an important part of it.

He stated that the Memorial Center already has the largest database of recorded testimonies about the suffering of the Serb people.

"These are confessions in the first person, primarily by the parents of the fallen soldiers, but also by all those who bear witness to Serb suffering through their fate," said Bojić.

He expects the database of recorded testimonies of the Memorial Center to be officially available to the public by January 9 and the Day of Republika Srpska, as well as a part of the Multimedia Museum dedicated to the creation of the Republika Srpska.

Grujić said that the common interest and strategic goal of the Veterans and the Memorial Center is to preserve the memory of fallen fighters and civilians, and to ensure that current and future generations learn the truth.

He pointed out that all the capacities of the Association will be available to implement the ideas and projects of the Memorial Center.
