PLANNED PROCUREMENT OF VEHICLES FOR TRANSPORT OF SPECIALLY PROTECTED PERSONS

BANJA LUKA, MAY 29 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, said today in Banja Luka that this ministry of Republika Srpska plans to procure vehicles that will be designated for the transport of specially protected persons.

When asked if the purchase of four official vehicles, estimated at over BAM 700,000, is justified, Karan responded that the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MIA/ continuously acquires vehicles that serve as tools for their work, not just means of transport.

“You simply cannot work without vehicles. Just imagine traffic police or any other unit without vehicles,” Karan said.

He said that all police units have different types of vehicles, which are tools for their work, just like weapons and uniforms.
