BELGRADE, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ - Political scientist Rajko Petrović stated that the published phone conversation between Milorad Dodik and Bakir Izetbegović confirms the continuity of a policy that calls the Dayton order into question, and that Republika Srpska and Serbia must persist in defending their institutional rights.
Petrović pointed out that the conversation clearly exposes a continuity of policy which, instead of dialogue, opts for attempts at political dominance and the undermining of the Dayton constitutional framework.
"Republika Srpska and Serbia should remain firmly committed to the letter of the Dayton Peace Agreement as the only guarantee of peace and equality, while also being firm against any attempt to undermine the institutional rights of Republika Srpska," Petrović said.
"Such statements by Bakir Izetbegović confirm the unsustainability of unitary aspirations and only further legitimize the legal struggle of the Serb people to preserve their autonomy and vital national interests," Petrović concluded.
