MODRIČA, JANUARY 5 /SRNA/ - On the occasion of Republic Day, January 9, wreaths were laid today in Modriča at the monument to former President of Republika Srpska Milan Jelić, and his son Petar emphasized that after his father's death a void remained, but also pride in everything he had accomplished.
"He is missed, especially during holidays when he should have been with his family. Life is like that. We must go on, and we know that he would have wanted it that way. I believe he would be proud of what he did, but also of what we are now doing for Republika Srpska," said Jelić, who is also an SNSD member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
He expressed gratitude to the officials of Republika Srpska who laid wreaths today at the monument to his father in Modriča.
"A great void has remained for us, but also the pride and dignity that he created during his lifetime and left to us as a legacy," Jelić said.
The Minister of Labour and Veterans' and Disability Protection of Republika Srpska Danijel Egić and the Minister of Justice Goran Selak laid a wreath today, on the occasion of Republic Day, at the memorial to former President of Republika Srpska Milan Jelić.
