PEĆANAC: SUPPORT WORTH BAM 350,000 FOR 150 BANJA LUKA FARMERS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA/ - Parts of the contracts for co-financing the purchase of small-scale agricultural machinery were handed over today at the premises of the Banja Luka Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development.

A total of 150 agricultural producers from the city area have received support under this measure, with a total of BAM 350,000 allocated for this purpose.

The measure covers the purchase of motor cultivators with attachments, tractor trailers, various implements, such as ploughs, disc harrows, rotary mowers, sprayers, and other equipment. The maximum amount of support per individual application is BAM 4,000.

Director of the Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development Bojan Pećanac said during the handover ceremony that the institution's goal is to continuously strengthen local agricultural holdings and provide direct support to producers in the field.

"Our goal is for the Centre and all our employees to always be available and at the service of all farmers. We want the Centre to be like a `godfather` to every one of our producers - an address they can turn to both in good times and when they face challenges and problems in production. We are here to tackle challenges together and create better working conditions," Pećanac said.

With the handover of these contracts, the Centre is continuing to implement its agricultural production support program in the Banja Luka area, with the aim of modernising farms and improving working conditions.
