BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Labour, War Veterans and Disabled Persons Protection Radan Ostojić said that the Serb people, by gathering every day, paying tribute and lighting candles, are expressing their deepest gratitude to General Ratko Mladić for what he did for the people and Republika Srpska during the Defensive-Patriotic War.

Ostojić added that Banja Luka is just one of a number of cities where various activities are being held to express gratitude to Mladić for the creation of Republika Srpska and freedom.

“Here you do not see only veterans, war military invalids and families of fallen soldiers; what leaves the strongest emotional impression is the presence of young people who are grateful to Mladić, as well as to all the fallen soldiers,” Ostojić told the press in Banja Luka, where citizens gathered at the Central Memorial to Fallen Soldiers and lit candles.

He added that such activities would continue throughout Republika Srpska until Mladić is given a dignified burial.

“He is one of the people who gave the most during the Defensive-Patriotic War, but also through his sacrifice and everything he and his family have endured from the end of the war until today,” Ostojić said.

He stressed that what is being published about General Mladić in the FBiH media only shows that BiH has no future, that it would be best for the peoples to go their separate ways and for each to have its own state.

“One day, Republika Srpska must become an independent state,” Ostojić concluded.
