BROD, MARCH 6 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Labor and Veteran and Disability Protection of Republika Srpska Radan Ostojić, said today in Brod that the mothers of fallen soldiers are heroines who will always have a special place and attention throughout Republika Srpska.
"Mothers occupy a special place in the entire system of our nation. Throughout history, perhaps every generation of our mothers, in addition to the obligation to give birth, raise and guide their children, teach them about life, patriotism and love for their homeland and nation, unfortunately also had the fate of sending their sons to war to defend freedom and the fatherland," Ostojić said in Brod.
During a reception for mothers of fallen soldiers on the occasion of International Women's Day, Ostojić pointed out that some soldiers returned from the war alive and healthy, some returned ill, some were disabled, while some, unfortunately, never returned.
He expressed hope that women who are mothers today, or who will become mothers in the future, will never have to send their children to war, but instead will celebrate their successes in various fields and their contributions to Republika Srpska.
Ostojić previously met with the mayor of Brod, Milan Zečević, with whom he discussed the main activities of the Municipal Administration that formed the backbone of their work in the previous period, as well as future plans.
"I am pleased that the cooperation between the municipality and the Veterans' Organization is at a very high level, and I believe it will be further intensified and improved," Ostojić emphasized.
