TESLIĆ, November 9 /SRNA/ - Professor of constitutional law Siniša Karan said today in Teslić that organized attempts to dismantle Republika Srpska have been ongoing since 1995, with the aim of stripping it of its competencies - an effort resisted continuously by the authorities of Srpska.
"They wanted to destroy us," Karan stated during a discussion with citizens in Teslić.
He noted that high representatives have imposed 913 decisions, every single one of them directed against Srpska, and that 166 laws were either imposed or revoked.
Karan recalled the "5+2" agenda, which included the seizure of property, integration into NATO, the creation of Brčko District to sever Republika Srpska, the removal of Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ to economically ruin Srpska, and the promotion of the so-called rule of law which implied branding the Serbs as a genocidal people.
"We defended ourselves by saying that we will not surrender the sacred institution that is Republika Srpska," Karan stressed.
He pointed out that Srpska has achieved economic stabilization and built strong institutions that prevent its collapse, which is why efforts were then directed toward undermining Milorad Dodik.
Karan added that what hurts the most is Annex 4 - the BiH Constitution - which has remained untouched.
"That is why we fight for the original Dayton, because it gives us strength," he concluded.
