BUDAPEST, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban extended a warm welcome to President Milorad Dodik at the CPAC conference in Budapest, one of the key international gatherings of conservative and sovereigntist political leaders.
Addressing conference participants, Orban referred to Dodik as his friend and emphasized that "Republika Srpska President Dodik deserves a special title due to the political pressures he has been exposed to".
"Milorad Dodik deserves the title of the greatest political survivor - of US sanctions, German coercion, and Bosniak harassment", Orban said.
The Hungarian prime minister added that the political pressures Dodik has faced for years are something few could endure.
"We would fall to our knees if we had endured half of what he has endured," Orban said.
He thanked Dodik for attending CPAC and stressed the importance of voices at such international gatherings that advocate for state sovereignty and the right of peoples to independently decide their future.
The CPAC Hungary conference brings together a number of political leaders from Europe and around the world who advocate politics of sovereignty, the protection of national identities, and, as organizers describe it, "politics of common sense".
Dodik`s presence at the event confirms that Republika Srpska has its place among political actors contributing to shaping a new political reality in Europe and the world.
