BANJALUKA, MARCH 2 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić, and the Ambassador of Greece to BiH Ioanna Efthimiou, stated at a meeting in Banja Luka that Republika Srpska and Greece have always maintained good relations, but that there are opportunities to further strengthen ties, primarily in the field of the economy.
It was concluded at the meeting that Republika Srpska and Greece have room to expand cooperation in many areas, according to a statement from the Public Relations Bureau of the Government of Republika Srpska.
Minić emphasized that the Government of Republika Srpska is interested in discussions on joint projects.
He thanked the Greek Ambassador to BiH for all the assistance and support her country has provided throughout history and said that Republika Srpska views Greece as a brotherly country.
Efthymiou expressed her gratitude for the reception and highlighted Greece's readiness to enhance existing cooperation.
She particularly expressed satisfaction with the work of the Center for Hellenic Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka, where the Greek language will be taught, which is significant for strengthening cultural ties between the two peoples.
The meeting also included discussions on the political situation in Republika Srpska and BiH.
