OPERATION "DAMAGE": 13 KILOGRAMS OF DRUGS SEIZED, 17 ARRESTED

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Police in Banja Luka have seized 13 kilograms of drugs and arrested 17 people in an operation codenamed "Damage", and are searching for three more suspects.

Searches were carried out at 20 locations. Police seized about 13 kilograms of various drugs, more than BAM 100,000 in various denominations and currencies, several digital scales, mobile phones, cocaine purity tests, two pistols, a car and other items, the Banja Luka Police Department said.

The operation was carried out by Banja Luka police together with the Organized and Serious Crime Directorate, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and the Gendarmerie of the Republika Srpska Interior Ministry, as well as the Odžak Police Department.

The operation targeted drug abuse, and those arrested are suspected of the unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics.

All measures are being taken under the supervision of the prosecutor handling the case at the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor's Office, on the orders of the Banja Luka District Court.
