ONE-OFF ASSISTANCE FOR PENSIONERS TO BE PAID ON THURSDAY

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 25 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska Ministry of Finance will pay one-off financial assistance to pensioners in Srpska on Thursday, August 27, in the total amount of BAM 31,385,264.

Pursuant to a decision by the Republika Srpska Government, the one-off financial assistance will be paid to 295,642 beneficiaries based on the average pension calculated in Republika Srpska for July.

Pensioners whose pensions are below BAM 698 will receive BAM 120 each, while other pension beneficiaries whose pensions are above the average will receive BAM 80 each, the line ministry stated.

"By paying the one-off assistance, the Republika Srpska Government has demonstrated its commitment to improving the financial conditions and living standards of the elderly population, while taking into account their needs and budgetary capacities," the Republika Srpska Ministry of Finance stresses.

According to the Government's decision on the extraordinary adjustment of the general pension point, pensions in Republika Srpska will increase by 3.55 percent starting with the August calculation, compared with July.
