BANJA LUKA, MARCH 17 /SRNA/ – There is no presence of the Ustasha movement in Republika Srpska, nor is it possible for such a thing to happen, while the promotion of Ustashism in other countries can be condemned, thus a declaration on this matter was adopted about ten years ago, said SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.

Dodik also asked why the SDS believes that nothing has been done so far to condemn Ustashism, stating that Republika Srpska is headed by serious people.

"I am not pleased with what is happening at concerts; I can publicly oppose it, but what can I do about that issue in Croatia, which is an EU and NATO member state?" Dodik told RTRS.

He stated that the initiative to adopt a resolution condemning Ustashism before the National Assembly, which is being discussed today, is taking place because the SDS is trying to demonstrate its political relevance, while at the same time voting in Sarajevo for a law to abolish excise duties.

Dodik recalled that he is a Kozara child who was raised to condemn Ustashism.

"There is no presence of the Ustasha movement in Republika Srpska, no lining up of those who were killing Serbs, but no one will prevent them from lighting candles, which their right, the same one we would like to have in Croatia," Dodik said.

He asked whether Ognjen Bodiroga of the SDS had said anything about such lining up, adding that through the proposed resolution they are trying to create divisions with Croats over this issue.

"We are irreconcilably divided on that issue. There will never be a concert where Ustashism is promoted in Republika Srpska," Dodik said.

He has emphasized that he cannot ban such things in other countries but can condemn them.

"When it needs to be said `you who killed Serbs will not line up,` those from the SDS do not condemn it," Dodik said.
