TREBINJE, JANUARY 5 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska Alen Šeranić has stressed today in Trebinje that the new hospital in the city, "St. Archdeacon Stephen – January 9," is a source of pride for the people of Srpska and a foundation for the development of the entire region.
"The hospital bears the name of the greatest holiday of Republika Srpska, a symbol of the strength and determination of Srpska," Šeranić said while addressing the opening ceremony.
Stressing that everyone engaged in the construction of the hospital is impressed by the final result, Šeranić said it is a modern facility, equipped with all necessary amenities for providing health care services and offering excellent working conditions for staff.
"We are proud that this project was completed on a turnkey basis. This is the first hospital built using domestic resources, demonstrating that we have the knowledge and capacity to carry out such a project," Šeranić said.
He thanked the leadership of Republika Srpska, especially former President Milorad Dodik, for the vision to initiate the hospital construction project, as well as the leadership of Trebinje and all those who have been involved from the very beginning.
"Everyone can be proud of this success, which also belongs to all health care workers. I am confident that with these capacities they will show they know how to care for the health of the population," Šeranić said.
Šeranić pointed out that the health care system of Republika Srpska is now on solid footing and expressed confidence that the new Trebinje hospital, which will employ medical professionals from Srpska and the region, will take a prominent place within the health care system of Srpska.
"By improving the health care system, we are strengthening Republika Srpska," Šeranić emphasized.
