NEŠIĆ: CVIJANOVIĆ AND MINIĆ ARE DOING AN EXCELLENT JOB

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 19 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić are doing an excellent job, DNS President Nenad Nešić said in response to repeated criticism from the opposition.

Nešić noted that Cvijanović is performing exceptionally well, as evidenced by the support she has consistently received from the opposition in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska whenever she has invoked the entity veto.

Nešić also stressed that Cvijanović is a welcome guest who is received with respect in Brussels, Washington and Moscow.

"Instead of making futile criticisms, the opposition would be better off learning from her," Nešić said.

Speaking about Minić, he said that he had launched numerous investment projects, was paying attention to both eastern and western Republika Srpska, and was committed to improving living standards.

"At least they cannot accuse Minić of allocating funds to municipalities based on party affiliation, because we have seen him in SDS strongholds such as Gacko and other municipalities. That is a good and positive example that the opposition should praise, instead of coming up with far-fetched criticisms," Nešić said.

In response to the opposition's criticism regarding the increase in the budget of BiH institutions, Nešić stated that the budget had been increased solely due to salary increases.

"More than 7,000 Serbs from Republika Srpska work in those institutions, and the opposition is against their salaries being increased. They tell them that they should live and support their families on BAM 800 to BAM 1,000. If it is a sin that their salaries have been increased, we accept that," Nešić said.
