MUSLIMS ASK FOR INTERVENTION OF "PEACEKEEPERS" BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE READY TO DO TO SERBS

EAST SARAJEVO, MARCH 30 /SRNA/ - The brutal attack by SFOR soldiers on the Starovlah priest family in Pale 21 years ago showed what "peacekeepers" are ready to do to Serbs, that is why Muslims in BiH are still calling for the intervention of members of the international peace mission against the highest leadership of Republika Srpska, the President of the Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica Branimir Kojić stated for SRNA.

Kojić pointed out that the attack carried out by members of the SFOR on the night between March 31 and April 1, 2004, on the priest family of Starovlah in Pale, was also an attack on the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/ and the Serb people, who were sent a clear message that foreign "peacekeepers" are actually protectors of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The priest Jeremija Starovlah and his son Aleksandar suffered the most, while the other priests who lived there suffered shock and were mistreated. The parish house was devastated and then a message was sent to the Serbs that the foreign 'peacemakers' are actually the protectors of Muslims in BiH and that, if we do not agree, they will show us that the attack on everything Serbian is amnesty from any punishment and condemnation," Kojić said.

Only the naive, he warned, will say that the date of the attack on Starovlahs and SOC is a coincidence, because everyone remembers what happened in BiH at the beginning of April 1992, and there are similar tensions even now.

"Muslims are again asking for the intervention of international peacekeeping forces to arrest the top leaders of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković. They are asking for it for several reasons, the first of which is that they know what all these peacekeepers are ready to do to the Serbs," Kojić stressed.

He stated that the second reason is that Muslims have become accustomed to trying to get what they want by whining and presenting themselves as victims.

The third reason, Kojić pointed out, is that they know that the people of Republika Srpska will not allow the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ to shape their destiny, because they are aware that, in that case, the Bosniak plan from the "Islamic Declaration" of Alija Izetbegović would be realized - for BiH to be unitary, and the Serbs to become just a statistical error, as is the case in Sarajevo today.

"There are extremely challenging days ahead of us and we are certainly threatened by danger from all sides, and we especially feel this when we see that various politicians, analysts and others are making announcements from FBiH every day, rattling their weapons and constantly talking about some kind of war conflicts that no one in Republika Srpska wants," Kojić underlined.

Even after 21 years since the suffering of the Starovlah priest's family, the members of the former SFOR never received the deserved punishment for this crime.

On October 1, 2010, the Unconstitutional Court of BiH partially accepted the claim of Jeremija, Aleksandar and Vitorka Starovlah, and decided that BiH should pay slightly more than BAM 300,000 in compensation to the Starovlah family, which was brutally attacked by members of SFOR on the night between March 31 and April 1, 2004 in Pale.

At that time, the family's claims for damages in the name of mental pain suffered due to damage to private property, home and impunity of the perpetrators, in the name of destroyed things, as well as help and other people's care for Jeremiah, were rejected.

On April 1, 2004, around 1:10 a.m., members of the SFOR broke down with explosives the front door of the Parochial Home in Pale, in which the Zekić and Starovlah families lived in two apartments.

Then they broke into the apartment of the Starovlah family and inflicted severe, life-threatening physical injuries on priest Jeremija and his son Aleksandar with hard objects and mechanical tools, which left lasting health consequences.

Vitorka Starovlah, the wife of the priest Jeremija, suffered difficult psychological moments that caused her great mental pain and fear, because she was not allowed to help her son and husband, and later she expressed fear for their lives and recovery, as well as concern about how her son Aleksandar would continue his life with the consequences of his injuries.

SFOR members took Aleksandar and Jeremija, seriously injured and in an unconscious state, by helicopter to the Clinical Center in Tuzla, where they received emergency medical assistance, and later continued treatment at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade and recovery in rehabilitation centers.
