MINIĆ: TRB IS ONE OF BIGGEST AMBASSADORS OF SRPSKA

BRATUNAC, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ - The Government of Republika Srpska will unequivocally focus on all production capacities that have prospects for development, and one of them is Technical Overhaul Bratunac /TRB/, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said.

After visiting the company together with Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, Minić stressed that TRB is one of the biggest ambassadors of Republika Srpska, as it markets its products in many countries across Europe and the world.

"When it comes to the defense industry, everything has to be perfect, and when you hear that four European companies competed for a product and that, after testing, the product made by TRB Bratunac passed, it becomes clear what kind of capacities we are talking about here," Minić told reporters in Bratunac.

He added that, during the current mandate of the Government, special funds will be established to support such investors and companies, because the current one-year cycle of incentive payments subject to certain limits, which has been the practice so far, cannot meet the needs of such large companies, which have to invest in product development, monitor the global market and increase the number of employees.

"The defense industry will be an area of interest in the coming years, and the Government of Republika Srpska has already expressed its commitment in this regard," Minić said.

TRB General Manager Mile Pejčić thanked Minić and Cvijanović for their visit, stressing that they discussed institutional assistance to TRB and the purpose of funds that would enable the company to improve the development of technologies and new systems and the implementation of scientific achievements.

He stressed that TRB is committed to entering new markets and that there is no room for improvisation in the defense industry, but that success can only be achieved through quality.
