MINIĆ: SRPSKA HAS SPECIAL AFFINITY FOR JEWISH PEOPLE

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 31 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić stressed today that Republika Srpska and the Serb people have a special affinity for the Jewish people and Israel because of their shared suffering under fascist terror during the Second World War.

Following a meeting with Israeli playwright Iddo Netanyahu, Minić said it was of great importance that his book "Yoni's Last Battle: The Rescue Operation at Entebbe, 1976" would be presented today at the seat of the Republika Srpska Government in Banja Luka.

He said this was a unique opportunity for the people of Republika Srpska to learn, through the author's account, about one of the most challenging rescue operations in Israeli history, the Republika Srpska Government's Bureau for Public Relations said.

The book presentation is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
