BANJA LUKA, 26 AUGUST /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister-designate for the formation of the new Government of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, stated that his priority will be the protection of the interests of Republika Srpska, its jurisdictions, and the implementation of the referendum passed by the National Assembly.

"There is no room for speculation here. I have requested the same from coalition partners. We are now at a turning point to show determination. We will talk with those who are willing to recognize Republika Srpska as a Dayton entity and who do not want conflicts," Minić said at a press conference in Banja Luka following consultations with political party representatives.

He emphasized that Republika Srpska does not wish to interfere in the internal affairs of the Federation of BiH and expects the same from the other side in order to achieve prosperity.

"We do not interfere even regarding property, land, and resources. We are partners, and our doors will always remain open," Minić stated.

He condemned the actions of political Sarajevo and the illegitimate Christian Schmidt towards Republika Srpska, pointing out that their goal is to strip Republika Srpska of all its jurisdictions.

"Christian Schmidt has amended laws outside the parliament, under which the President of Republika Srpska was judged. We know what the next step is – property and education – so that only the name of Republika Srpska remains. We will not allow that," Minić said.

He added that new members of the government will be required to spend more time with the people and engage in direct dialogue.

"We will announce a plan for holding government sessions in our towns and municipalities. Our goal is for all ministers and assistants to visit every single village. This means our citizens will have the opportunity to make proposals and engage in discussions," Minić noted.

The Prime Minister-designate for the formation of the new Government of Republika Srpska Savo Minić today held consultations with representatives of the SNSD, Socialist Party, NPS, DNS, United Srpska, SPS, and DEMOS.
