BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 26 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić opened the Festival of Domestic Products and Services in Banja Luka this evening, bringing together more than 100 exhibitors.

Minić said the festival, organised by the Association of Young Economists, has, for the ninth consecutive year, demonstrated that young people have quality ideas for promoting domestic products and potential.

“Full credit for the idea of promoting the purchase of domestic products, which is how it all started nine years ago,” Minić said.

He said the festival had brought together a large number of exhibitors who had made high-quality and cost-effective products with their own hands.

“We must launch an initiative to amend the law so that our public institutions can purchase domestic products, under conditions that will not interfere with public procurement rules,” Minić told reporters.

He said it was realistic to expect that proposals for concrete measures to be implemented by the Government would be drawn up as early as next year, and that young people would be supported in starting their own businesses.

“Republika Srpska has a large number of enthusiastic, young and determined, educated people who are ready to build their businesses here,” Minić said.

He stressed that Republika Srpska has great potential and that young people can be expected to stay if their ideas are approached with a genuine willingness to support and respect them.
