BANJA LUKA, MAY 22 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that the tragedy of the 12 Banja Luka babies is a crime that remains a permanent stain on the conscience of the international community and that the babies must never be forgotten.
"Even 34 years later, sorrow, anger and bitterness remain over the fact that world powers gave themselves the right to ban the transport of oxygen to Banja Luka, knowingly endangering the lives of newborn babies," Minić wrote on the social network X.
He added that it is a crime that remains a lasting stain on the conscience of the international community.
"We must never allow the Banja Luka babies to be forgotten. Eternal glory to them," Minić said.
Wreaths and flowers were laid today at the Life Memorial Monument in central Banja Luka marking 34 years since the deaths of 12 Banja Luka babies at the then Clinical Center, who died because world powers did not allow the transport of oxygen.
