BANJA LUKA, APRIL 14 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said institutions will continue supporting small and underdeveloped municipalities, noting that projects are being implemented and funds allocated for all proposed initiatives.
“We are also assisting municipalities in FBiH with a majority Serb population. We are planning around BAM 180 million in investments that will cover all these municipalities,” Minić said while responding to journalists' questions during a televised debate with Banja Luka Mayor Draško Stanivuković.
Minić emphasized that the key objective through project implementation and other measures is to retain the population.
“We have a major investment cycle underway across Republika Srpska,” Minić stressed.
Mayor Stanivuković pointed out that there are issues in cooperation with SNSD in the largest city of Republika Srpska, though he noted there had been some optimism following meetings with government representatives.
“We respect everyone, but we do not receive the same response. At the last meeting, we requested that land in Dolac be transferred to the city so construction of a bridge could begin, but that has not been done. There has also been no progress on the construction of a roundabout at 'Metal'. These are priorities, yet we have no response,” Stanivuković said.
