BRATUNAC, JULY 4 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić has said today that it is the duty of the Serb people to remember and preserve the truth, and never allow the 3,267 Serbs killed by Muslim forces during the recent war in the Central Podrinje and Birač regions to fall into oblivion.

"This is a day for silence and for bowing one’s head before the shadows of the fallen. As a participant in the Defensive-Patriotic War, I know the price of freedom. That is why it is our duty to remember, preserve the truth, and never allow the Serb victims of Podrinje and Birač to fall into oblivion. Eternal glory to them!" Minić posted on X.

More than three decades since the suffering of Serbs in the Central Podrinje and Birač regions was commemorated today in Bratunac.

A memorial service was held by His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia, together with bishops, while the commemoration was attended by officials from Republika Srpska and Serbia, as well as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH Igor Kalabukhov, and the U.S. President’s spiritual adviser Mark Burns.
