MINIĆ: DELAYS IN ORGANIZING CHARTER FLIGHTS FROM MIDDLE EAST EXPOSE WEAKNESS OF JOINT INSTITUTIONS

ČELINAC, MARCH 7 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić has stated that delays in organizing charter flights for the evacuation of BiH citizens from the Middle East show the futility of joint institutions and how much influence a single individual can have over the system.

"We saw this in the case of the blockade of opening the border crossing in Gradiška, and we see it now when people's lives are at stake. Those who supposedly swear by BiH are the ones undermining it the most," Minić told reporters in Čelinac.

The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić said on Thursday that BAM 800,000 allocated for the evacuation of BiH citizens from the Middle East is operational and that it is now up to Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković to take the necessary steps to ensure that charter flights are carried out.

"We have completed the part of the job related to securing the funds, and now it is up to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that the flight becomes operational as soon as possible, that is, to arrange a charter flight so that people in those areas can be evacuated and return to Republika Srpska or the FBiH," Amidžić stated.
