MINIĆ: COOPERATION WITH RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES IMPORTANT

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 28 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić says that many global challenges becoming the subject of joint cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation academic communities is very important for Republika Srpska.

“We know what kind of capabilities the Russian academic community has; once we become part of it, we will certainly be much better prepared to face many things in the future,” Minić told the press in Moscow after a meeting with members of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

He said he was impressed by the welcome and reception at the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as by everything discussed at the meeting.

“Almost the entire academic community spoke with us. They expressed a desire to expand cooperation between the academic communities of Russia and Republika Srpska to all areas. Academic diplomacy is something that is extremely important to us at this moment, as is the fact that many global challenges will be addressed through joint cooperation,” Minić said.

President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladislav Panchenko Yakovlevich said that today’s meeting with the Republika Srpska delegation, which included President Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Minić, was highly productive.

“Our doctors shared their experiences from visits they made to L” Yakovlevich said.

He announced the establishment of a joint research programme that will cover various fields.

He recalled that the first agreement between the academies of sciences of Russia and Republika Srpska was signed in 2006.
